Generate Capital has made its newest strategic investment into utility-scale solar and storage developer Pine Gate Renewables to support its upcoming and long-term growth plans. This includes a 300 million dollar commitment to a long-term partnership for solar financing and 200 million dollars in equity investment. We will see benefits from both sides of this deal as Pine Gate Renewables will have additional capital to fund the construction and development of new projects, while Generate Capital will receive an exclusive seat on the board of directors for Pine Gate.
Pine Gate renewables is a leading renewable energy company focused on project development and strategic financing of solar storage sites as well as utility-scale solar. They specialize in working with corporations, utilities, local communities, and capital partners to expand the scale of clean energy. Generate Capital is a finance company that has made its mark in the world of sustainable infrastructure. They build, own, and operate different frameworks in the sustainable market to deliver affordable and reliable resource solutions.
Both companies have the same goal in mind; to make sustainable energy for communities affordable for many years to come.
“Generate is a collaborative, experienced partner and shares Pine Gates’ long-term vision of driving the energy transition and improving energy security by providing solar energy and battery storage to local communities across the country,”
Pine Gate CEO Ben Catt
Both companies will see benefits on each end, from direct company contribution to commercial and industrial solar contributions among communities.
Similarly, Infiniti Energy has recently received a 117 million dollar investment for commercial and industrial installations among New Jersey and the rest of the US. 87 Million of this investment is tax equity, while the remaining 30 million will be used as a construction revolver to support C&I solar projects in its home state of New Jersey. With large investment and financing deals happening in the solar and renewable energy space, we will keep seeing more solar projects popping up among small and large communities around the United States.
