This project will be located in California, specifically in Riverside County. This Oberon Solar Project is the third project approved under the Desert Renewable Energy Conservation Plan.<\/p>\n<p>The Desert Renewable Energy Conservation Plan is a grounded plan that is focused on transforming and utilizing over 10 million acres of land spread throughout the desert regions of seven different California counties. Their main goal is to streamline and develop more renewable energy for outsourcing into public housing. At the turn of the century, California only received 11 percent of its energy from renewable sources. This number increased to 34 percent in 2018 and is on track to be 100 percent carbon-free energy by 2045.<\/p>\n<p>With its new addiction approved, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blm.gov\/\">Bureau of Land Management<\/a> will now be processing 64 different onshore clean energy projects. These projects mainly consist of solar and wind energy but are also comprised of geothermal as well. These projects will take place in the western United States on open and federal land.
